What’s new at “The Ratcliffe”?

The Ratcliffe has recently acquired a new locomotive for the Milton Brockmeyer Train Display. The brand new Diesel Locomotive is a great addition to the display and adds reliability as well.

The Ratcliffe Museum will participate in History Hunt SWVA, commemorating the 350th Anniversary of the Batts and Fallam Expedition of 1671.   Learn more at our Events link.

Ratcliffe Memorial Brick Garden

The Friends of the Ratcliffe Memorial Garden is installed at the corner of Washington and Commerce.  You can buy an engraved brick to be placed in the garden to honor someone or an organization or in memory of a loved one. All proceeds from the BUY A BRICK program support the Museum. Pick up an application, BUY A BRICK, and join our community drive!

Pulaski’s Story

The “Ratcliffe” is excited to announce that “Pulaski’s Story: As Told By The Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Transportation Museum”, a book compiling all of the story boards into one volume. This book is available for purchase at the Ratcliffe’s gift shop for the low price of only $10.

The Friends of the Ratcliffe is pleased that the Ratcliffe Memorial Transportation Museum is open at it’s regular hours with restrictions on occupancy in line with Virginia’s COVID recommendation.   Friends of the Ratcliffe is a 501(c)3 organization.
